Birkebæk Tømrer & Byg: a website that brings in direct enquiries

A conversion-focused website for a solo carpenter in East Jutland, built to get the phone ringing.

The task

Nikolaj Birkebæk is a master carpenter who runs his business alone. He has 100+ finished projects behind him. Decking, garden houses, kitchen renovations, commercial builds. But no professional website. New clients came purely through word of mouth.

The job was clear: build a site that can take in people searching for a carpenter in the Aarhus and Vejle area, and make it easy for them to get in touch directly.

The solution

A fast, mobile-friendly marketing site from scratch. Plain HTML, Tailwind CSS and vanilla JavaScript. No WordPress, no overhead. Structured with one goal in mind: getting people to call Nikolaj.

The primary CTA is the phone number. It's available everywhere. In the header, in the hero section with two buttons, and as a floating call button that's always visible on mobile. On desktop it shows up once the user scrolls past the hero.

The project gallery shows real photos from 12+ completed jobs, filtered by decking, renovation, new builds and commercial work. It gives potential clients proof of the quality without having to ask for references.

Technical: Rybbit analytics with custom event tracking on phone and email clicks, so Nikolaj can see exactly which enquiries the site generates. The contact form opens the user's mail client with a structured subject and message, so Nikolaj gets consistent enquiries.

The result

From idea to live site in 11 days. Tracking is in place from day one, so the effect can be documented over time.
